The central focus is to work in harmony with nature to produce food and flowers without negatively impacting the environment or our health.

Organic farmers often to replenish the resources that the garden depletes by saving any organic materials produced. The effect is a recycling of nature’s bounty.

When the main features of an organic garden is the fact that there is no man-made pesticides or fertilizers used to help grow plants. The idea behind this is that the environment is healthier without these chemicals harming other living organisms (including ourselves).

It is not hard to have an attractive organic garden that produces a boat load of fruits, flowers, berries, and vegetables. It just requires a little planning, and the right methods.

What you what you would do this based on observation. For instance, to find out if bugs are attacking your plants, you need to pay attention to the plant itself. Observe under the leaves, looking the flowers, observed the stems… Find out what bugs are actually eating on your plants. What you observed the pests, you can educate yourself on what the best organic methods of control are for that particular insect, virus, or fungus.

The methods of pest control can include things as simple as spraying soapy water on your plants. Sometimes it requires cayenne pepper. Other times you will find that you may need even something as exotic as beer. Did you know that beer will kill snails? It’s true!

So plants are naturally insect repellers. Marigolds are a good example of insect repellent plants. If you will plant marigolds near your tomatoes, it will help keep the insect population down. This is because they emit chemicals that repel insects.

Organic gardeners have several insects that are considered good friends because they are so beneficial. Two of the most famous insects that organic gardeners love include the praying mantis and the ladybug. They like to eat bad insects like aphids.

Soil is the foundation of most gardening, unless you are thinking about hydroponics which requires no soil, only water. Organic gardening requires that the soul has plenty of broken down organic matter. The soil is rich in nutrients.

I love organic gardening! You can raise plants organically. It really is the best way! Learn more more about plant progragation on Mike McGroarty’s FREE EBOOK!

What is a wheelbarrow anyway? It sounds like a crazy question, but it is something that needs to be answered in our minds, if we plan to move forward with today’s lesson. A wheelbarrow is a small hand propelled “vehicle” with usually one wheel and is guided by one person by two handles. Some people call it the wheelbarrel, or wheel barrel, (some even call it a wheel burrow or wheelburrow) but this is not the right terminology.

Wheelbarrow For Sale

The function of a wheelbarrow is to distribute the load of the weight of what is being carried from the operator to the top of the wheel. In physics, this is what they call a second class lever. It helps reduce the amount of work that is needed to move heavy objects. Therefore, it makes sense that the wheelbarrow is used a lot in gardening and construction applications.

This might seem sorta strange doing a video about wheelbarrows, but Mike McGroarty knows his stuff about using the wheelbarrow effectively. It is really important because if you are going to do any work at all in the backyard with your new plant propagation business, you will need to know how to move soil and other items around without injuring your back.

By The Way, Go Here to Read More On How to Make Money Propagating Plants In Your backyard.

The first tip is to actually start out with a good wheel barrow. A good wheelbarrow is actually easy to spot if you know what to look for. You want a heavy duty constructed wheelbarrow that has the wheel straight down directly under the front end of the load. Some wheel barrows have a wheel that is too far ahead of the tub and this can put a strain on your back when lifting. So you want the wheel to be underneath the tub of the wheelbarrow. You want the weight to be on the wheel instead of your hands.

Don’t be afraid to pay extra for a good solidly built wheelbarrow. It is an investment that will pay for itself over the course of a lifetime, especially if you start a backyard plant propagation business!

One of the things you need to do with a metal wheelbarrow is to put it up with a lean on the wall if it has to stay outside. Then you don’t have to worry about it rusting through.

Mike has taught dozens and dozens of people the fine art of wheelbarrowing, and one of the things is to make sure you know the best way to load things to protect your back. A lot of people will try and fill the tub from front to back evenly, but it is actually best to move the soil to the front of the wheelbarrow as you load it. This way the center of gravity is directly over the wheel and not over the handles. The void in the back of the tub will make it much easier to maneuver and handle also.

I hope that you find this information useful, because it really makes a difference when you are pushing a wheelbarrow all day long.

You can find wheelbarrows at your local hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, or even WalMart or KMart sometimes carries them. IF you are looking online, Amazon has a good many wheelbarrows for sale such as this one below…

Wheelbarrow For Sale

I like this Union Tools 6 cubic foot all steel wheelbarrow, because the tub is located directly over the wheel. I also like the fact that the wheelbarrow parts on this nice garden tool are all heavy duty! It is definitely a heavy duty metal steel wheelbarrow that is ready to roll. It really has heavy-duty all steel under carriage. I also like the nice wooden handles and pneumatic wheelbarrow wheel. Take care of it and it should last for a lifetime! I like this a little more than the Jackson wheelbarrow, but to each his own!

Thanks a lot! …and Happy Wheelbarrowing!

Plant Propagation – The Perfect Home Based Business Opportunity?

You’ve probably heard it all when it comes to ideas for a home based business. Everyone wants to work from home, work online, or find a way to become an instant millionaire through some complicated MLM scheme. It’s enough to give you a headache and send you back to the hustle of finding a job in the “real world,” isn’t it?

Well, you will be relieved to hear that there are some very simple yet rewarding opportunities for home based businesses. It doesn’t have to be complicated and you don’t have to sell out your closes friends and family members to make these ideas work, and you won’t have to spend thousands of dollars on advertising and website development toe get started.

One of those simple yet very effective opportunities involves propagating plants right from your own home. Propagating sounds like a complicated, professional term, but it really just means you know how to root seeds or cuttings to create a wide variety of plants for resell.

READ MORE HERE ABOUT MAKING MONEY FROM PLANTS!

Anyone can do this! If you don’t know how right now, the right resource could teach you in just one afternoon.

Many people who are into plant propagation do it as a family venture. They get their children involved so they can learn how to make things grow and teach them valuable life lessons about work and money.

Others do it as a solo venture to bring in some extra cash for casual spending. The great thing about it is you can earn as much or as little as you want, depending on the time you spend selling and the number of plants you propagate.

Getting Started With A Plant Propagation Business

To get started growing plants for resell, all you need are seeds or some good cuttings from existing plants and a small plot of land. There is some knowledge required for taking your cuttings and getting seeds started, but this information is very basic and can be learned online as well as through some very convenient propagation guides.

It is quite surprising how little land you need to start this type of home based business. Just a small corner of your yard or perhaps some good sized pots could get you started selling plants for profit right from your home.

Or, you could opt to take your home based business online and sell to a much larger market. The only catch here is you will need to set up auctions or a website for your products and then spend some time advertising. You will also need to ship out your plants after they are sold.

While the expenses are higher for operating an internet-based propagation business, the profits can be much higher as well if your plants are in demand.

The trick to ensuring your plants will be purchased by others is to stick with basic flowers, trees, and bushes that you know are widely used by homeowners and landscapers. Look around your residential area and see what others are growing in their yards. Look through local nurseries and make sure you beat their prices.

Making Money With Your Green Thumb!

In order to make this type of home based business work all you have to do is put your heart and soul into producing the healthiest, disease and pest free plants you can create. Offer them at a great price and you will have them flying out of your hands almost like magic.
